We understand that due to recent circumstances surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus) that some people may be told to self-isolate, and that the availability to products at supermarkets may be reduced. This may make it difficult to fulfill the requirements of your weekly shopping or adhere to the weekly meal plan.
However, you can still follow the principles of the Total Wellbeing Diet in these instances.
The Total Wellbeing Diet is based on meeting daily food unit targets by eating wholefoods from the different food groups. Any food or ingredient can be substituted with an alternative as long as it is a food of the same food group. So if something is unavailable, you may replace it with something that is available from that food group.
For example, if you do not have access to chicken and it is on your weekly plan, you can replace this with any food from the Meat & Protein food group, e.g. beef, seafood, eggs, tofu, legumes and so on.
As long as you meet the daily food unit targets e.g. 2 serves fruit, you can eat what you like, or what is available even if you aren't necessarily following the menu plan. During this time do what you can, make necessary substitutions and eat what is available while sticking to the units.
If you would rather freeze your membership in the meantime you can do so in Settings > Freeze Membership.
