Serving 1 person
If you are assigned a recipe that serves 2/4 people, the menu plan will expect you to cook the whole recipe and will assign left overs as future meals.
If you do not want left overs, we recommend that you adjust the ingredients and cooking times accordingly to allow the recipe to make 1 serve instead of 4 serves.
However if you do not wish to do this, you can use the meal swap feature to swap out all recipes used within the menu plan, and just include 'meals' that serve one person only.
Serving More than 1 Person
When you view your shopping list, you can select how many people you wish to serve and the shopping list will be recalculated to serve this many people - but the menu plan will not change.
You will need to manually adjust your menu plan whilst cooking to serve the number of people you wish to feed. For example; multiply the ingredients of a meal by 2. If a recipe is included in the menu plan (these are hyperlinked), this will state how many people it serves and you will need to adjust this accordingly. E.g. if a recipe serves 4, you will need to half the ingredients to serve 2.
You can also choose to meal swap meals that serve single people for recipes that serve 2-4 people. Alternatively you can use our extensive recipe collection by clicking Food > Recipes. Be sure to enter these meals into your tracker to monitor nutritional intake and ensure you're meeting your Food Group Targets.
Please Note: As the menu plan has been designed for 1 person, recipes that serve more than 1 will distribute the remaining serves as Leftovers (see below). The 'Leftover' meals will not contribute to the Shopping List. If you are serving more than 1, you may not have leftovers, therefore you will need to meal swap these 'Leftover' meals for new meals. These new meals will then contribute to the shopping list.
Roasted Chicken and Vegetables with Parsley (below) serves 2, so there is 1 recipe & 1 leftovers assigned in the menu plan.
If you are serving 2, you will need to meal swap the left over meals.
