In 2018, the NEW Total Wellbeing Diet Protein Balance program was made, this re-distributes protein in its eating plan and recipes, providing at least 25g of protein at each meal.
In practical terms, this means that on protein balance there is:
- Increase protein at breakfast either by use of a high protein Dairy unit, or use a Meat & Protein unit with a high protein Bread & Cereals unit
- Increase protein at lunch from 50g (0.5 Meat & Protein unit) to 100g (1 unit)
- Reduce protein at dinner from 200g (2 Meat & Protein units) to 150g (1.5 units)
This will help with appetite control, and weight management. As well as support muscle mass, metabolism and overall health.
